The Annual Art Award of Latvia (LMGB) is the highest national award in the field of art and emphasises collaboration as the foundation of the creative process. This also served as the core concept for its visual identity, reflecting the creation of art as an interwoven collection of experiences.
The award logo is inspired by the tradition of monograms, with the symbol incorporating both the flow of the creative process and its non-linear movement, while simultaneously highlighting the continuity of the process. The monogram is constructed using the award’s initials — LMGB — which are intertwined into a single, flowing element. Its organic structure allows the logo to be adapted to various formats, thereby continuing the idea of versatility and dynamism.
